Management experience

Over 25 years’ experience of leading and expert positions. As a son of a transport operator, started to explore entrepreneurship and transportation field in 1960s. In 1970s in leading positions of logistics planning and management at Valio and Partanen’s Transportation Group. Since 1976, leading positions in expert organization, founding ELC Finland Ltd. (MH-Konsultit Ltd.) and being the Chairman of its Board for 25 years.

Board experience

Has been active in boards for 15 years. Has participated in board working of international and Finnish industry, trade and service companies. Has been Chairman and leaded development projects in several boards. Has strong experience in strategic planning, founding and board working of network companies.

Activities

M.S in Engineering (1974) and teacher in Logistics starting 1976 in Helsinki University of Technology. Has participated in writing over ten business management books (Distribution 2020 was awarded a ProOeconomia award). Has developed and conducted for 21 years the annual Logistics Seminar (over 800 participants in 2005), as well as acted as the main organizer of the Logistics World Congress (ICL 97). Cultivates and owns a farm called Syvänoja. Among hobbies there are forestry, cultivating crops and skiing. Logistician of the year in 2002.
