Mr.
Kettunen, M.S in Engineering, is the CEO of
Pekka Kettunen Consulting
Ltd. Acted as Mayor of Jyväskylä for 10 years and Mayor of Kerava for 6 years.
Before that worked for two years as a political secretary and for 13 years in
management of Liikennetekniikka and Devecon Ltd. and as a partner in
Liikennetekniikka Ltd. As an Export
Director has been responsible for projects on urban and community planning in
Africa and Arab countries.
Board experience
Has gained lots of board,
administrative board and council experience from municipal and private
companies and organizations. Among other duties, was Chairman of council of
HYKS (currently HUS - Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa) and delegation
member of Sato and VVO. Has acted for several years as a Chairman of Board e.g.
in Kiinteistö-HYKS, Kestel Ltd., Technology Center of Jyväskylä, JSP Facilities
Ltd., Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences Ltd. Has been board member in
listed company Yomi Plc and Kuntien Asuntoluotto Ltd. Has been Chairman of
numerous different foundations in physical education, health, university
education and architecture. Board experience includes also chairmanship and
membership in registered association "Finland's Mayors" (Suomen
Kaupunginjohtajat ry) and "Municipal managers" (Kuntajohtajat ry).

University of Jyväskylä
nominated Mr. Kettunen an Honorary Doctor in Economics due to his efforts in

group appointed by the Government.
