Management experience
Since 1974 worked for 9 years in management consulting in Mec-Rastor Ltd. (currently PwC), participating in joint projects with leading global consulting companies inter alia in restructuring projects of large Finnish corporations.
In 1983-1992 in Instrumentarium, first in acquisition projects of mostly health care companies and, later, as founder, stakeholder and the CEO of the Instru Data, a division of Instrumentarium, which became independent.
Since 1993, regarding the banking crisis, by Arsenal assignment, leader of an expert group and representative of investors as well as management support in problematic companies. Main responsibility included bringing viable companies back to normal banking system using strong development measures.
In 1998-2001, as the CEO in two manufacturing companies acquired earlier, restoring and developing them to a sound basis. Board working since 2002.
Board experience
At first, the Chairman of the Board in seven own subsidiaries in 1980s. Later, as investors' representative in numerous boards. Nowadays, board chairman of member in boards of own companies and two minority companies.
Special know-how
Personal characteristic and other activities
M.S in Engineering, Helsinki University of Technology, 1973. Postgraduate studies in the USA by Rotary Foundation scholarship in 1974. Among hobbies there are building and repairing houses, fitness training, especially cross-country skiing and long distance rowing.
