Customer Register Policy
This Privacy Statement explains the privacy policies of Boardman Oy. It includes information on how Boardman manages personal data, the type of information Boardman can collect and the purposes of personal data collection. Boardman abides by the current GDPR regulations. The leaflet has been updated 25th May 2018.

The register includes personal data of current and previous staff- and customer data as well potential customer database.
Personal data usage
The data is collected in the register, so we can provide our services according to legislation and proper conduct. Data will be processed and used in selling and delivering services and products, the development of service and products, billing, managing customer relationships and development.
In addition, the collected data will be used in event organization, advertisement, marketing and other customer communications.
Register information content
All personal data required for the proper conduct of the customer relationship will be collected in to the register. This includes:
- Email address
- Phone number
- Company and position
- Company address
- Customer-selected alternatives for direct marketing
- Other possible data required for services and events (event attendances, special diets etc.)
Register data sources
The register is gathered from registrants, from third parties with permission from registrants, public internet sources and existing customer databases.
Disclosure of information
The registrar will disclose customer data to third parties only by permission of register or when required by Finnish authorities.
The registrar will not disclose personal data outside the EU and ETA area.
Customers have the right to know contents of their own personal databases, also in the case when no data is stored. Boardman must announce the regulated information sources and the purposes of data usage and disclosure. A customer who wishes to examine their own personal data, must provide an official authorized request to Boardman.
Customers have the right to inspect and alter their own personal data in the Boardman customer register.
Prohibition and data removal from register
Customers have the right to prohibit the disclosure and processing of information for advertising, direct marketing and other marketing purposes. Data may be removed from the register at the request of the customer or due to the termination of the customer relationship.
Register principles in data protection
Personal data that is stored electronically, is protected with firewalls and other technological security methods, such as passwords. Personnel with access to information have signed a confidentiality agreement.
