PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND BOARD EXPERIENCE
Master of Theology (University of Helsinki 1986), Provost Olli Holmström has worked in leadership positions in the business sector, third sector business, and nonprofit activities for over 30 years. Since 2012, he has served as the CEO of Deaconess Foundation, and prior to that (2000–2011), he held HR management positions in various technology units of Nokia.
His board work experience covers listed companies, social and healthcare sector companies, growth companies, and educational joint-stock companies. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of Eurodiaconia, an association for European deaconal actors, and as the Chairman of therapy company Mielipalvelut. He is a Board Member of Diaconia University of Applied Sciences, Diakonia College of Finland, The Finnish Association of Private Care Providers, and Suomen Johanniittain apu. Previously, he has served as the Chairman of the Board of Diacor Terveyspalvelut and Rinnekotisäätiö, Vice Chairman of the Board of Association for Finnish Work, and as a Member of the Board and Audit Committee of Terveystalo, and the board of the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK).
