Anna Lunden, MSc (Econ.), has over 20 years of experience in leadership and expert roles within international consumer goods and service companies. She possesses extensive expertise in developing B2B and B2C business, market orientation, and growth strategies, particularly in multinational environments. Lunden has worked at EY, Nestlé, L’Oréal, Nutricia, and Cloetta in commercial specialist and leadership positions.
At Nestlé, she led the Mövenpick brand business in Finland and revitalised several consumer brands. Early in her career, she introduced EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year competition to Finland, establishing it as a permanent part of the Finnish growth entrepreneurship ecosystem. Over time, Lunden has developed a deep understanding of market dynamics and the impact of owners’ objectives and management decisions on long-term value creation.
Currently, Lunden works as a doctoral researcher at Turku School of Economics. Her research focuses on the market orientation of board members in guiding strategic choices, renewal, and competitiveness. She also serves as a researcher in a Strategic Research Council (SRC) project funded by the Academy of Finland, examining the role of leadership, intangible capital, and innovation in AI-driven growth.
As a third-generation family entrepreneur, Lunden sits on the board of her family company, ForCapital Oy, which specialises in capital and real estate investments. She is also an external board member at Aarikka Oy and Martinex Oy. In her board work, she has acted as an owner, advisor, and facilitator of strategic dialogue. Lunden is known for her view that the board’s key role is to build the company’s strategic sensitivity. She emphasises proactive interpretation of markets, clarity of owner intent, and interactive board practices.
