Tuomo Haukkovaara

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND BOARD EXPERIENCE

MSc in Technology (Helsinki University of Technology, 1985) Tuomo Haukkovaara has worked for 39 years in international information technology expert-, sales- and management positions at IBM and its associated companies in Finland and Europe. Haukkovaara was the CEO of IBM Finland in 2011–2017 and worked as the interim CEO for 7 months in 2021–2022. From 2017 to 2024, he was also the chairman of the board of IBM Finland.

Currently Haukkovaara is active in several boards and as an advisors and investor. He is the chair of the boards at Funidata and Harveritalli, Vice Chair at the board of Boardman, Chair of the advisory board of Finnish Digital and Population Data Services Agency, Chair of the commission of Kaute Foundations and an active member of the local village association of the Savonlinna area.
