Boardman’s long-serving Managing Director, Taru Lindeman, will join Excellence Finland as CEO in January 2027. Lindeman will continue in her current role at Boardman until the end of November 2026. Boardman’s Board of Directors has started the recruitment process for a new Managing Director.

Taru Lindeman will continue in her current role as Managing Director of Boardman until the end of November 2026.

Lindeman has worked for Boardman since its establishment and has served as the company’s Managing Director since 2011. After stepping down from her current position, she will continue to develop collaboration between owners, boards and management as one of Boardman’s partners.

Taru has played a significant role in shaping Boardman into the highly respected competence network and think tank it is today. She has also successfully led the ongoing renewal of our organisation, enabling us to serve Finnish owners, board members and management even more effectively in the future. Taru is highly valued by the members of our network, our partners and our operational team alike, and we are delighted that she will remain actively involved as a Boardman partner. On behalf of the company and the entire Board of Directors, I would like to thank Taru for her outstanding work and wish her every success in her next role,” says Olli Holmström, Boardman’s Chair of the Board of Directors.

Since 2002, Boardman has actively developed the capabilities of owners, board members and executive management in Finland. Celebrating its 25th anniversary next year, the think tank and competence network helps Finnish companies renew by creating and sharing knowledge that supports decision-making and growth, by raising the standard of board work through trainings and assessments and supporting research activities through its network of more than 800 members and 60 partners.

My journey with Boardman has been remarkable and truly rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to lead and developed our company and its network as Managing Director over the past 15 years. With its recently updated strategy, Boardman is in an excellent position to continue its renewal under new leadership. I am pleased to continue supporting excellence among owners, boards and management as a Boardman partner. At the same time, I look forward to my new role and the opportunity to strengthen the competitiveness of Finnish organisations through high-quality leadership and continuous learning,” comments Taru Lindeman.
