Boardman Membership Introduction Webinar

The Boardman Membership introduction webinar is held on March 11, from 8:30 to 9:15 AM (UTC+2).

During the webinar, Tuomo Haukkovaara will provide a brief overview of the Boardman English-Language Membership “Boardman Membership”, and Steven ter Horst will share his personal experiences as a Boardman Member. Laura Sata-Leinonen, Head of Internal Control at Neste, shares how completing Boardman’s CG and Board Work in Finland training supports her in her work.

After the presentations, there will be a Q&A session, offering attendees an opportunity to ask questions.

The webinar is intended for international executives and board members working in Finland who are interested in learning about Boardman’s English-language membership.

Tuomo Haukkovaara, Partner, Boardman

Tuomo Haukkovaara is Boardman’s Partner and the Chair of Boardman’s International Working Group, which develops an English-language membership, “Boardman Membership,” designed for international executives working in Finland or in Finnish companies. Haukkovaara has worked for 38 years in international information technology expert, sales, and management positions at IBM and its associated companies in Finland and Europe. Haukkovaara continues to promote technological research and education as a member of the Kaute Foundation, and he has been involved throughout the current millennium in the operation of Digipool and its predecessors, which develop the digital security and security of supply for Finland’s critical infrastructure

Steven ter Horst, Independent Advisor & Boardman Member

Steven ter Horst is an experienced executive with global expertise in B2C and B2B industries. He specializes in strategy, diversity and inclusion, organizational change, and international business development. With strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset, he is driven by a passion for performance. Ter Horst is a Boardman Member and actively develops Boardman’s English-language membership as a member of the Boardman International Working Group.

Laura Sata-Leinonen, Head of Internal Control at Neste & Boardman Member

Laura Sata-Leinonen leads the Internal Control function at Neste, where she has established the control framework for financial and sustainability reporting. Laura holds a master’s degree in political economy and an MBA in International Business, alongside with many other qualifications, such as certified Financial Executive, Board of Directors, SAP, COSO IC, etc. She has gone through Boardman’s CG and Board Work in Finland Training and is a Boardman Member

Boardman Membership for international executives in Finland

Boardman Membership is aimed for international executives and board members working in Finland or in Finnish companies. The network provides business connections, hosts events on relevant topics, organises Board Buddy Program and serves as a platform for sharing expertise.
