Hanna Sievinen

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND BOARD EXPERIENCE

Doctor of Science (Economics and Business Administration) Hanna Maria Sievinen began her career as an investment banker and later worked for Nokia in various roles related to mergers and acquisitions, strategy, sales, and marketing until 2014. She held leadership positions within business units and also served as the Head of Nokia’s operations in Germany as the Chief Restructuring Officer.

Over the past decade, Sievinen has served on the boards of various listed companies, both family-owned and state-owned. Currently, she serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee at Taaleri Plc, Koskisen Plc and VR-Group. Additionally, she is a member and Chair of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors at Aalto University and a member of the board at Sofigate. She is also a member of the Tender Offer Board of the Securities Market Association and the Listing Committee of NASDAQ Helsinki.

Her doctoral dissertation focused on the role of boards in corporate strategic renewal, and she continues to actively conduct research within the entrepreneurship research group at LUT University, with a particular focus on board work, ownership research, and decision-making processes in complex environments.
