Laura Raitio

Professional history and Board experience

M.Sc. (Tech. 1988) and Lic.Sc. (Tech. 1993) Laura Raitio holds over 20 years of experience in international business with sales, marketing, manufacturing, product development and general management.

Raitio works as a Non-Executive Director. Currently she is the Chair of the Board of Directors in Raute Corporation and Helsinki Deaconess Institute. Additionally, she a Member of Board in Solidium Oy, Suominen Corporation, Alko Oy, Unikie Oy and Heltti Oy.

She was a Board Member in Neste Corporation for 8 years 2011-2019. Laura Raitio has worked as CEO of Diacor Medical Services and prior that she held a position of Executive Vice President in Ahlstrom Corporation and was Member of the Executive Management Team of the company. Raitio worked as the Managing Director of Diacor Health Services Oy 2014-2017. Prior to that, she served as a manager in the Building and Energy business area of Ahlstrom Plc. for 24 years in different management positions; Building and Energy business area includes products as special papers, fiber fabrics and glass fiber reinforcements for the use of construction industry, wallpaper manufacturers, floor mat material manufacturers and wind power industry. She has more than 20 years of experience in managing international business. She holds a degree of M.Sc. (Chem. Eng.) and Lic. Tech. (forest products technology) from the University of Technology.

Laura Raitio is a partner of Boardman Ltd. and currently the Chair of the Board of Directors. Raitio has served on the Finnish Figure Skating Association’s Board of Directors since 2011 and as a Chairman since 2015.
