Philip Aminoff

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY AND BOARD EXPERIENCE

Philip Aminoff, M.Sc. (Econ), MBA (INSEAD), DSc (Econ) h.c. is the Chairman of the Board at Tenetor, Helvar Merca, and Helectron, and the Vice Chairman of the Board at Veho, Helvar, Fastems, Electrosonic and Transmeri Group. He is also a Board Member at Boca Holding AG, Otava Oy, the Finnish-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, and the Family Business Network Finland.

Philip has had an international career in high-tech companies. He worked in Germany from 1990-93 at the medical diagnostics pioneer Boehringer Mannheim as a Marketing and Department Manager, in England from 1993-1998 as the CEO of Electrosonic, a supplier of complex audio-visual systems, and since 2000 in Finland at Helvar, which develops lighting electronics, and Fastems, specializing in factory automation. He has served on the boards of several companies, including Myllykoski (2002-07), Paulig (1997-2014, Chairman (2011-14)), LähiTapiola (2015-18), Antti Ahlström Perilliset Oy, and on the Supervisory Board of A. Ahlström Oy (2020-2024).

Philip was the Chairman of the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s Family Business Working Group from 2004-05, the Chairman of the Board of the European Family Business, the umbrella organization of European family business associations, from 2008-12, the Chairman of the Jury for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award from 2014-16, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors’ Institute Finland from 2016-18. Additionally, he served as the Vice Chairman of the Working Group for the Domestic Ownership Program of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment from 2020-21.
