2024 Entrepreneurship Research Recognition Award available – Announce your research by 30 June 2024 at 16.00.

Boardman LJT (Boardman’s Management Research Network) promotes dialogue between academia and business, and the utilization of research results in management and decision-making. We act as a forum for sharing research based knowledge and as a partner in generating new research data. Our focus is on research that is relevant to the decision-making of owners, the board and management.

We have chosen Finnish entrepreneurship research as one of our focus areas. Therefore, this year we are for the third time awarding the Entrepreneurship Research of the Year Recognition Award to a meritorious entrepreneurship research conducted at a Finnish university, university of applied sciences or research institute.

The € 3,000 award is funded by Yksityisyrittäjäin säätiö (the Private Entrepreneur Foundation). In granting the Recognition Award, special emphasis is placed on the practical applicability of research results in business. More detailed information required to apply can be found in the application form.

The selection of the winner will be made on the basis of the applications received by the 30th June 2024 at 16.00. Please share information about this opportunity with your colleagues and networks, thank you.

How to apply

• You can apply for the Boardman LJT Entrepreneurship Research Recognition Award for your published research conducted at a Finnish university, university of applied sciences or research institute in 2021-2024.
• The research submitted to the competition must be post-graduate research.
• For dissertations, the award can be applied for either with an introduction or with an individual article published as part of the dissertation. The application must be accompanied by a completed publication or a link to the publication.

We kindly ask the person/team applying for the Entrepreneurship Research Recognition Award to be prepared to participate and present his or her research at the Entrepreneurship Research of the Year award ceremony on October 2nd, 2024 in Helsinki, if she/he is the recipient of the award.

Entrepreneurship Research Recognition Award ceremony

The recipient of the Entrepreneurship Research of the Year award and the piece of research will be announced October 2nd 2024 at the Award Ceremony in Helsinki at the office of Perheyritysten liitto (Finnish Family Firms Association).

In addition to Boardman LJT, Perheyritysten liitto, Suomen Yrittäjät (Finnish Entrepreneurs), Confederation of Finnish Industries EK and the Central Chamber of Commerce will be present at the award ceremony.

Naturally, we also hope to see a large number of entrepreneurship researchers and entrepreneurs joining the award ceremony for networking and discussing about the promotion of Finnish entrepreneurship research, and research and business cooperation.
