Boardman Members are warmly invited to attend the event “Ownership’s Role in Driving Growth”, hosted by Boardman in collaboration with PwC Finland, on Thursday, 19 March, from 16:00 to 18:30.

This session brings together owners, board members and business leaders to explore how ownership shapes a company’s ability to grow. We will dive into questions such as:

• How can owners enable or constrain growth – through governance, mindset, and risk appetite?
• What is the role of the growth mindset of owners in supporting the Board and CEO’s work?
• How is growth defined beyond expansion and short-term returns in ownership strategies?

Ville Voipio, Chair, Technology Industries of Finland & Vaisala

Ville Voipio is Chair of the Boards of Technology Industries Finland and Vaisala, and Professor of Practice in Sustainable Global Business. He is a board-level strategist and thought leader focusing on growth, ownership, sustainability, and the clean and digital transitions.

Voipio is known for his fact-based and systems-oriented perspective on why growth succeeds or fails. He argues that sustainable growth depends not only on strategy and management, but fundamentally on ownership, incentives, and long-term value creation. He is an active public commentator on growth, climate, digitalisation, and governance, and works across listed companies, startups, and academia.

Lauri Kallaskari, Partner, PwC Finland

Lauri Kallaskari has over 20 years of experience in audit and accounting advisory services for both Finnish and international companies. Kallaskari has specialized in auditing technology companies and financial service sector clients during his career. He has amassed a wealth of knowledge by developing excellent working relationships with executive teams and audit committees. Kallaskari is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Partner at PwC.
