Boardman’s CG and Board Work in Finland Training will take place on November 19, 2024.

This training is tailored for international executives and board members working in Finland or with Finnish companies. It covers Nordic corporate governance, the legal responsibilities of board members in Finnish companies, and the annual cycle and working methods of Finnish boards. The sessions are led by experienced professionals, Manne Airaksinen and Laura Raitio.

After the training, we will head to a joint dinner in downtown Helsinki. In addition to gaining valuable insights, this will be a great opportunity to expand your professional network.

International business executives who have completed the training are automatically invited to become Boardman Members.

Taru Lindeman – Managing Director, Boardman

Taru has been working as the Managing Director for Boardman since 2011. She has led almost fifty board work development programs and trainings, carried through multiple board evaluation programs, organized several international excursions and conferences, and arranged hundreds of events about ownership, entrepreneurship, leadership, management, strategies and business trends. She previously worked more than 10 years as a supply chain and senior management consultant for differed industries.

 

 

 

Manne Airaksinen – Senior Advisor, Roschier

Manne Airaksinen is a Senior Advisor in the Roschier’s Corporate Advisory and Corporate Compliance & Investigations practices. He also specializes in public M&A and equity capital markets. Manne has extensive experience in a broad range of corporate issues and has been a key person in the development of the Finnish Companies Act. He regularly acts for listed companies in a high-end boardroom advisory role and is recognized as one of the leading experts in his field in Finland.

 

 

 

 

Laura Raitio – Partner, Boardman

Laura Raitio works as a Non-Executive Director. Currently she is serving in the Board of Directors of Raute Corporation, Alko Inc., Helsinki Deaconess Institute, Solidium Oy Unikie Oy and Stiftelsen BMR sr. Earlier she was a Board Member e.g. in Neste Corporation and Suominen Corporation. Laura Raitio has worked as CEO of Diacor Medical Services and prior that she held a position of Executive Vice President in Ahlstrom Corporation and was Member of the Executive Management Team of the company. Laura is a partner of Boardman Ltd.

 

 

 

Boardman Membership

Boardman Membership is aimed for international executives and board members working in Finland or in Finnish companies. The network provides business connections, hosts events on relevant topics, organises Board Buddy Program and serves as a platform for sharing expertise.

The network connects international executives with their Finnish counterparts and helps internationals understand Finnish business culture and board practice.

There are two ways to become a member. The first way is by completing the CG and Board Work in Finland Training and the second way is by applying for membership.
